The art of architectural illustration is used by professional homebuilders, craftsmen and architects to promote the beauty of their work. By combining the straight-line skills of architectural draftsmanship with the free-flowing lines and creativity of a fine artist, an illustrated rendering removes the harshness and 'noise' that are apparent in even the best of photographs. With just a photo or two of your house or building, Ivy and Arches will provide a beautifully illustrated rendering that can be printed on acid-free paper, matted and/or framed. Or, printed on our wide selection of products. These one-of-a-kind illustrations may be sentimental reminders of childhood homes, charming housewarming gifts, or useful business promotional tools. Gift certificates are always available.

Yet Byron can add dimension, texture and crisp detail to her subjects with a few practiced strokes of her pen. They are skills honed over her years as an architecture major at Clemson University, followed by her work as a graphic artist for a local printing company.
Her style represents a marriage of those two backgrounds, employing both the precise drawing techniques and math skills of an architect and the freehand talents she later developed as a graphic artist.

Home is where the art is for Indianapolis illustrator Judy Byron, whose portraits of dwellings — rich in detail and warm in style — have touched their owners and are the work that gives her the most pleasure.[1]
Judy Byron earned her Bachelor of Science in Design from the college of architecture at Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina in 1982. She has worked in the fields of architecture, graphic design and printing prior to starting Ivy and Arches in 1997. As sole proprietor of Ivy and Arches, Judy has provided illustrations, renderings and presentation drawings for architects, builders, and homeowners. Recently branching back into the printing industry, Judy is excited to offer a wide variety of products printed with custom illustrations.
